It has a distinctive "shakishaki" chewy feeling.
Kyoto is it's place of origin.

Two matsu trees are trimmed.
This one is beside the pond.
It takes three days for trimming.

It's good for chabana.
It was going to die from this summer's long dry spell.
It gets now well.

Cha

Drinking tea is come readily to mind.
Chatsumi is also called easily to mind.

Kuri

Boars used to eat kuri berries.
The kuri tree belongs to Eironsho.
It may be bad year for kuri.

Matsu

The trimming of this matsu is over.
It takes four days to trim it.
This year trimming work is started earlier than usual.

Higanbana

A higanbana booms at the mountain side over the iron fence.
A year ago today we saw carpet of higanba at Kisa, Hiroshima.
It was Autumnal Equinox Day yeaterday.

Hakusai

Hakusai is a typical winter vegitable.
Pickled hakuasai is special.
It will be served as hakusainabe, etc.

Sion

Sion is noted in a poem of Heian novel " Kojakumonogatari."
Sion means "murasaki no sono."
It's name is used as color name "shion iro."

Daikon

Daikon is just the stage of kaiware.
Daikon oroshi is simple and nutritious.
Takuwan is a favorite dietary item for Japanes.

Unknow

The name is unknown.
It blooms besides ume tree.
The garden solid brought by my son may contains it's seeds.

Broccoli

Ten nursery plants of broccoli was planted yesterday.
They will be served in November.
Broccoli is a plant of Cabbage family.

Elephnat

Goya grows best this year.
It has a long nose.
Goya becomes elephant.

Mukuge

Mukuge flower is one day life.
But it blooms continuously.
So we can enjoy it for a long time.

Koke

Koke was dried and became charred dark brawn under spell of dry weather.
It was rainy yestaday.
Now koke comes alive and becomes moss green.

Kaki

Many kaki fruits fell.
A few still remains.
It is not sure that it will ripe.

Sendai-hagi

Prefecutural flower of Miyagi is miyagi-no-hagi.
City flower of Sendai is hagi.
Hagi is a typical autumnal flower.

Rose

Pink rose is elegant and grace.
It rained last night.
Dews on petals like tears.

Kumano-Hongu Taisha

Arrive Kumano-Hongu Taisha a.m. 10:30.
Now stand at Oyunohara, where it is previously placed.
And it is my Kumano-kodo walking terminal.

Walk from Takijiri to Chikatsuyu.

Yuzu is heavy with fruit.

Insects sing in chorus at night.
Autumn has come.

Gennoshoko is laxative herb.
It's tea is served for herbal usage.
It is used from Edo period.

Shiroyamabuki

Shiroyamabuki has four berries.
Ymabuki has five berries.
Yaeyamabuki has no berry.

Nira

Nira has it's flower's bud.
It is good to eat now.
If the flower opens, it is hard to eat.

Kyuri

A month ago, the kyuri plants were dammaged by boars.
Now they cure it's aftermath.
All creatures are full of energy life.

Tanuki

"Here, a tanuki prowls the the garden." Sachiko said.
A Tanuki was looking into the living and dining room.
Sometimes through a year it comes and carries away our shoes.

Goya

One of goya fruits completely riped.
And shows us their seeds.
Sticky stuff coating the seeds is sweet.
