A chinese commercial ship wrecked at the offshore sea of Shizuoka in 1826.
The rescuees presented kinkan fruits preserved in sugar to rescuers.
The seeds was raised to plants and they spread throughout Japan.

Now it's the best time to view this robai.
Robai is native to China.
The name comes from it's beeing as close as the waxwok ume.

Chisha

Chisa is covered with frost.
Frost is the solid deposition of water vapor from saturated air.
It is formed when solid sufaces are cooled to below the dew point of the adjacent air.

Suisen is just before blooming.
Tomorrow it's flower will be seen.
It's flower will be white.

Sazanka

This sazaka is now at it's best.
From now it will fall petals by petals.
Red petals will cover the gound.

Robai

Ume, sazanka, suisen and robai are collectively reffered to "sechu no shiyu."
Sazanka opened it's flowere already about a month ago.
Now today robai flower can be seen.

Nabana

Nabana was grown commercially for the first time at Kuwana, Mie in 1930's.
It is rich in vitamin c more than twice spinach.
It is good for "aemono" or "itamemono."

Cabbage

This is "harukyabetsu".
It's time of maturity is in spring.
Chaina is the leader in cabbage production followed by India, Japan is the fifth.

Komatuna is resistant to weather.
It's double cropping is possible.
This can be cooked in early spring.

Ingen peas and green peas are planted.
Thin tendorils from leaves are going to coil.
They will be harvested in early summer.

Cauliflower

A second cauliflower grows in great style.
It draws all eyes.
It will be cooked soon.

Parsley

Parsley has the adaptability to the weather.
This is a curly type of parsley.
It is often used as a garnish.

Almost daidai fruits turn yellow.
They are larger-than-normal year.
They will be harvested next year.

and have borocolli and sumiso (sumisoae.)
Both are tasty, but konbuae is a delicacy.

Hassaku

Can't aboid seeing hassaku now.
It's fruits are all nice shapes.
It's near the start of harvest.

Cauliflower

A cauliflower head grows.
This is the second one of this year.
The first one cooked as vinegared food was tasty.

Shinpaku

Small-size shinpaku was transplanted yesterday.
It is rainy today.
The weatherforcast proved right.

Shidaremomiji

Shidaremoji has it's best autumn color.
Foliage season is going to end.
The season of fallen leaves has begun.

Sazanka

Sazanka opened up.
It has now two flowers and many buds.
Flowers will soon fall leaf by leaf.
